- So far I’ve mostly been working on the exterior of the tiny house. But as of September, I’ve moved inside – to work that is. This post is actually quite delayed. I finished the latest round of building back in mid-october and have been working (somewhere that actually pays me) since then. So it’s high time for some progress photos, sorry for the delay.
- Starting to paint the interior.
- What a difference some paint makes.
- The painting was pretty hard. The OSB sucks up the paint good.
- Almost finished priming the interior.
- The bathroom wall framing.
- The bathroom wall sheathing.
- I drew out the stairs first, just to make sure they worked right.
- Top step of the stairs.
- The two lowest steps.
- The mostly finished stairs.
- Lots of storage potential in these stairs.
- Time to plumb the tiny house. A mess of pex tubing and connectors.
- A hole for the shower drain.
- Drilled a pilot hole through the floor to mark the center of the shower drain – this was not a good thing to see.
- Had to get creative with the shower drain, so it could bypass a support beam under the trailer.
- Shower drain.
- Shower p-trap under the trailer.
- Shower pan installed.
- Cement board in the shower stall.
- Recessed alcove over shower.
- The shower mixing valve.
- Stringing the pex tubing for the shower.
- Connection for shower head.
- Hole for drainage pipe from bathroom sink.
- Making holes through the floor.
- Cutting holes through the bottom of the trailer.
- This was my expression way too many times. Especially while under the trailer attempting to cut through the metal flashing and having tiny shards of metal fly everywhere.
- Waste water plumbing lines under the trailer.
- Oops. Measuring was a bit tricky sometimes.
- Waste and supply lines for the bathroom sink.
- The mostly finished supply plumbing system.
- Shower walls installed. Shower door partly installed.
- The grab bar ladder up to the little loft.
- Running the plumbing through the shelving unit.
- Shower fixtures and bathroom door installed.
- Tiny sink for a tiny house.
I will start back up on the tiny house in the new year. I hope you’re enjoying following along with the progress, I’m certainly enjoying making it!
Thanks for reading!
