EXPLORING – fishing around

I am very fortunate to have an uncle who just loves to fish (my aunt enjoys it to, but my uncle takes the cake on this one). It doesn’t really matter what kind of fish or where or when even, but he does have his favorites. His ideal trip would be fishing for sturgeon on the Columbia River in Astoria, OR on a beautiful early summer day out of his very own boat. Guess what… we recently did just that.

Beautiful Astoria with it's wonderfully long bridge over the marina.

The view from the boat. Just waiting on those fishies to bite.

Our catch! Look at those ugly things.

Ending the day with a beautiful sunset. What more could you ask for?

We stayed with a friend of my Aunt and Uncles. Pretty nice view, huh?

A trip to coast is not finished until you take, well... a trip to the coast - Cannon Beach to be precise.

It was a wonderful weekend and I am so thankful to my fabulous family for inviting me along. Thanks John and Karen, I can’t wait for our next adventure!

Thanks for reading!
